Your hair at home
Love your locks at home, not just at the salon!
Good hair doesn’t happen by chance; it happens by choice. Using professional products at home keeps your color brighter, your style lasting longer, and your hair healthier every day. Most drugstore buys (even if they have pro names) are watered down or altered from the original formula. When you get your product from a reputable source, you are getting salon-grade ingredients that are concentrated, meaning less product waste and fewer trips to the store to get more shampoo.
1. Wash Smarter, Not Harder
Use lukewarm (not hot) water to prevent dryness.
Shampoo your scalp, not the ends—let the suds rinse down.
Condition from mid-length to ends for hydration where it’s needed most.
2. Don’t Skip Heat Protection
Always use a heat protectant spray or cream before blow-drying, curling, or straightening.
Lower the heat setting—your hair will thank you!
Rule of thumb- if you would not bake a pie at that temperature, don’t bake your hair with that temperature either.
3. Brush With Care
Detangle gently, starting from the ends and working up to avoid breakage.
Use a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush on wet hair. Don’t forget the leave-in conditioner.
4. Embrace Treatments
A weekly deep-conditioning mask or oil treatment can bring back shine and softness. (Avoid the scalp with the mask and oils)
Scalp scrubs or clarifying shampoos once a month help reset your scalp and get rid of product build-up.
5. Sleep Pretty
Switch to a silk or satin pillowcase or a silk sleep bonnet to reduce frizz and breakage.
Try a loose braid or top knot overnight to wake up with effortless waves.
6. Protect Your Color & Style
Wash 2–3 times a week (if possible) to extend color and style.
Dry shampoo and dry conditioner are your best friends between washes!
7. Trim & Treat
Regular trims every 6–8 weeks keep ends fresh and prevent split ends from traveling up the strand.
Little habits at home = big results in the salon!
